Project information

IBEX in the Netherlands has been a specialist in developing, setting up and organizing independent examinations for more than 20 years. IBEX specializes in certification of people in the health and safety aspects in a long list of professions, from asbestos removers, electrical engineering, water, heating and gas engineering to private security.

The entire backoffice is managed from custom build legacy Windows applications, initially running on local desktops, later centralized on a Citrix server infrastructure.

Internet access for candidates and training centres

When it became a requirement to have an online presence, so that exam candidates could self-register for an exam, view their results and download their certificate, and for training centres are register their students as candidates, we were asked to develop the web application, initially limited to general health and safety (VCA) exams.

Project challenges

•  For a long running project, PHP and development framework version upgrades are required
•  Interfaces with the Microsoft world, Azure databases and Dynamics 365

This project is now in it's 12th year, and still being updated and maintained by us.
